Saturday Food.


5 medium organic scrambled eggs

4 pieces of applegate farms sunday bacon

2 cups of coffee

1 protein shake with coconut water

I am sick.  sore throat, chest congestion and fatigue.  I felt early symptoms as long ago as wednesday.  I’m wondering if it is related to my diet.  I am basically 6 days in to cold turkey of no: grains, sugar, dairy, lugumes and alcohol.  I wonder if that is enough to bring on flu like symptoms or if I am legitimately getting sick.  I have been drinking lots of water and have even squeezed in a workout on thurday that was running, pullups and push ups.  I am still incredibly sore form that- when I was still sore from opening FRAN work out.  I think its just a big jolt coming essentially ‘off the couch’ into this paleo challenge both nutritionally and physically.  the past 90 days have been almost free for all and I believe I’m paying for it now.  

i’m running the 5th avenue mile next saturday.  should be easy enough but it is basically a full out sprint - so pretty intense.  then at the end of october- I’m doing the Men’s Health Urbanathlon which looks like its going to be tough based on the amont of running involved.

I have done the Tough Mudder, which was easier than I expected- and I trained for that exclusively doing crossfit.  I am confident that the urbanathlon will go the same way as long as I keep up the Paleo Challenge an adapt to these workouts as they come.  RIght now, I’m being punished though.  keeping up with fish oil and lots of sleep.
